SPRING ELECTION NOTICE
City of Rice Lake
April 1, 2025
An Election will be held in the City of Rice Lake on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents. The two-year term for the offices of District Alderpersons begins Tuesday, April 15, 2025 and ends Monday, April 19, 2027.

- Alderperson District 1 - Keith Moffatt - filed Notice of Noncandidacy on December 6, 2024
- Alderperson District 2 - Gina Sookiayak - filed Notice of Noncandidacy on December 10, 2024
- Alderperson District 3 - Ryan Hulback - filed Notice of Noncandidacy on December 12, 2024
- Alderperson District 4 - Doug Edwardsen - filed Notice of Noncandidacy on December 3, 2024
The first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1, 2024 and the final day for filing nomination papers is Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at the City Clerk-Treasurer’s Office, 30 East Eau Claire Street, Rice Lake, WI 54868.
If a primary is necessary, it will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Rice Lake City Hall - 30 East Eau Claire Street
- Voting Hours: 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. for every election
- PHOTO ID is Required to Vote, please come prepared
- Absentee Ballots are available for residents unable to vote at City Hall on Election Day two (2) weeks before each election. Absentee voting ends the Friday before each election. There is no in-person absentee voting on the Monday before an election.
- Voter Registration required. You must register to vote if you are a new City resident, changed your name, or changed your address (even if you move from one apartment to another in the same building). Registration may be accomplished at the City Clerk-Treasurer's Office in City Hall during normal business hours or on Election Day, prior to voting.
- ID # is required from one of the following. If you do not have either #1 or #2 below, the last 4 digits of your social security number shall be provided at the time of registration. Proof of Residency is required from one of the following (with voter's full name & address):
- WI-issued driver’s license
- WI-issued identification card
- Employer-issued ID card
- College or Tech Student ID card
- Real Estate Tax Bill
- Rental Lease
- Current Utility Bill
