About RLPD

The Rice Lake Police Department is a community-responsive law enforcement organization striving to bring its employees and citizens into working partnerships to identify and resolve community problems.

The department employs 18 sworn employees.  The average sworn employee is 32 years old and has 9 years of service.  The department prides itself on being progressive; thereby attracting well-qualified police recruits.

The fiscal 2024 budget for the department is $$3,122,535 with the budget being comprised of various cost centers representing the various ‘divisions’ of the department, namely: Safety Building; Crossing Guards; and Patrol, Investigations, and Administrative Services.
