Mission Statement: The Rice Lake Fire Department is committed to Public Safety achieved through developing, promoting and maintaining a comprehensive network of fire suppression, fire prevention, fire investigation, emergency medical services, hazardous materials and specialized rescue services for the City of Rice Lake and contracted Townships. Through technology, education, training and communications, we shall continue to provide quality services.
The City of Rice Lake Fire Department is a combination Career/Paid-On-Call department providing services to the City of Rice Lake as well as the townships of Rice Lake and Oak Grove. This encompasses an area of 72 square miles and a population of approximately 14,000. The Rice Lake Fire Department also has mutual aid agreements with the Almena, Barron, Bear Lake/Haugen, Cameron, Chetek, Chippewa Falls, Dallas, Prairie Farm, and Spooner Fire Departments.
In addition to responding to approximately 650 fire and emergency incidents annually, the department provides a number of proactive services including fire and safety inspections, emergency planning (disaster), and educational programs for the general public and business community.
Service to the community is provided from the main station located in the City of Rice Lake.
