Weekend Ball Field Fee Structure - 2024
Priorities for Use
- Established or sanctioned recreational programs affiliated with the Rice Lake Community Services Recreation Department.
- Recognized Rice Lake groups and organizations including civic clubs and school district.
- Member teams of any Sanctioned Associations of Rice Lake Community Services Recreation Department.
- Any other entities not described in previous listings.
Request for dates will be taken beginning April 1 of each year. Priority rights for preceding year’s user will expire as of the end of the business day May 1.
Provisions
- $125.00 - Base fee for all Organizations, Adult Associations, Civic Group, Recreation programs, and all others reserving the ball fields/ parks on weekends at City owned and maintained facilities.
- This fee is to cover prep of the fields on Friday prior to the weekend use, electricity, water, restrooms, trash containers, emptying of garbage, paper products, soaps, access to public address system and scoreboards. (Any weekend tournaments held at the RLSD must abide by all RLSD fees, rules and regulations of the Sports Complex and the $125.00 Base fee will be waived)
- A fee of $45.00 per field, per time will be charged for:
- Ball Field Maintenance and Service to re-prep the fields at Clanton, Tate, UWBC and RLSD including: dragging, relining, and watering on Saturday Morning, Saturday Afternoon, Sunday Morning, and Sunday Afternoon.
- The City Sanctioned Associations have an option to schedule or opt out of the Rice Lake City Maintenance Crew to perform Ball Field Maintenance and Service to re-prep the fields including: dragging, relining, and watering on Saturday Morning, Saturday Afternoon, Sunday Morning, and Sunday Afternoon.
- Any other Organization, Civic Group, Bar League, or team from a Sanctioned Association must pay the $45.00 per field, per time for Saturday Morning, Saturday Afternoon, Sunday Morning, and Sunday Afternoon.
- For Example :
$45.00 for Steinert, $45.00 for Curtis – Saturday Morning
$45.00 for Steinert, $45.00 for Curtis – Saturday Afternoon
$45.00 for Steinert, $45.00 for Curtis – Sunday Morning
$45.00 for Steinert, $45.00 for Curtis – Sunday Afternoon
Total = $360.00 + $125.00 base = $485.00 for complete weekend service provided by City
- A $35 a day fee will also be charged for usage of concession stands for weekend tournaments.
- Payment is to be paid in full prior to the tournament to the City of Rice Lake, at the Community Service Office, Recreation Department.
- Field prep will be completed in the morning prior to the beginning of the tournament and afternoon prep will be completed by 2:00 pm. unless special arrangements are made prior to the tournament with the Recreation Department.
Rules and Regulations
- All sanctioned Associations that choose to opt out of the Ball Field Maintenance by the City of Rice Lake Maintenance crew, will be responsible for all dragging, relining, and watering of the fields and will assign a designated person prior to the tournament with the Rice Lake Recreation Department to be responsible for handling of equipment and materials and that person will meet with the Park Foreman for instruction of use of equipment.
- If alcoholic beverages are being served, a class “B” beer license must be obtained from the City Clerk’s office. This should be done 30 days in advance of the event. A licensed bartender must be on the premises at all times alcohol is being served for supervision purposes. PARK BOARD POLICY PROHIBITS THE AWARDING OF BEER DRINKING AWARDS.
- A restaurant license may be required. Users will be advised at time of application
- The individuals using the public address system must be approved by the Community Services, Recreation Department. Announcements should be brief and pertinent and abusive or offensive language will not be tolerated.
- All supplies and equipment belonging to the sponsoring organization must be removed from park property by noon of the day following the event. Popcorn machine must be cleaned and the concession building and area must be cleaned and all garbage removed. All debris on park and adjacent property must also be removed by that time. All keys and equipment belonging to the Rice Lake Community Services should be returned by 1:00 pm the day following the event.
